Our Mission

Writing Club Network is an organization dedicated to spreading the love of writing amongst young children and teens across America to combat the current literacy crisis. After all, the best way to learn to love reading is learning how to love writing!

Our Purpose

We empower students in primary and secondary education to be confident in their writing through provided weekly lessons, teaching both basic and more advanced topics in many forms, such as Scriptwriting, Poetry, and Novel Writing, among others. These lessons are free on our website!

My Story

Hi, I'm Claire Davis, the Founder and Leader of Writing Club Network, and this is my story:

When I entered middle school, I wanted to find people who were just as passionate about writing as I was. But to my dismay, there was no group for writers to gather, talk, write, or even workshop each other. I knew something had to change. It took some time, but I discovered ways to lead lessons about writing - videos, resources, and how to create compelling workshops that can help young writers grow. From all this learning, I ended up founding and becoming president of my middle school's Creative Writing Club. The only problem? It fell apart as soon as I left for high school. But when it fell apart, I finally discovered why resources for young writers are so hard to come by: young writers don't know how to lead clubs or meetings that will benefit themselves and their fellow writers. This is why I started Writing Club Network; to give young writers an opportunity to group up and learn new things about their passion without the stress!
