Introduction
Writing Clubs
These units are meant to be used for writing clubs in middle school and high school! Assuming a club meeting lasts an hour, each lessons should last for roughly thirty minutes. This gives writing clubs some extra time to do whatever they might want - whether that be independent work, sharing writing, or doing another lesson!

How Lessons Will Work
There are three parts to each lesson.
Craft:
This first part is usually a video about or relating to the lesson. This video is clean and serves as an introduction to the topic, as well as provides some structure and learning on the topic.
Connect:
This second part dives more into the topic and connects it to what we've learned previously. It also shares more insight into the topic and how young writers can connect it into their own writing.
Create:
This final part of the lesson can take as much or as little time as the club wants.
At the end of each lesson there will be a prompt or two that students can use to incorporate what they just learned into their writing. Students can do any kind of writing to these prompts. The important thing is that they use their new knowledge to write something that inspires them.
We hope you enjoy using these resources and that they help you level up your writing or the young students you're teaching!
